Jakarta soul. LA energy. Global grooves.
Eric B. Thornton is a Jakarta-raised, Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and songwriter. Growing up between cultures exposed him to eclectic genres — gamelan, disco, house, and Indonesian pop — and you can hear it: his sets travel through every shade of house, techno, and trance, always anchored in tribal percussion and a groovy, funky pulse.
More than 200 sets deep, he has gone from Jakarta stages and Bali beach clubs to residencies in Los Angeles rooms like Academy, Avalon, and Exchange, opening for internationally touring headliners along the way. In the studio, he releases both dance-floor instrumentals and full songs that he writes and sings himself.
Away from the booth, he covers dance culture for Frank151 and writes films that have taken home festival awards. Different mediums, same job: telling stories that move people.
